His removal follows a final order issued by an immigration judge in July after Yiannopoulos reportedly failed to appear for his scheduled hearing.

The fallout reached a boiling point among certain conservative activists who viewed him as a traitor to the cause. Right wing figure Laura Loomer claimed responsibility for reporting his status to authorities, suggesting that her calls for his arrest were motivated by his perceived disloyalty to Trump and his association with Greene.
